Above is a photo of Good Shepherd's school Principal Mrs. Volan.Brother Marc Ormando and myself made her an honorary Knight for the day.

Marian council donated $800.00 dollars worth of supplies to our schools office.Many of the Knights of the Marian council have children who attend Good Shepherd school.

The knights of Marian council along with their families help provide a true family atmosphere at our parish.The photo to the right is from the officers installation which was performed by our new D.D. or district deputy Brother Gil Eliares.

The ceremony was a joyful occasion.The presentation included the lovely Wives and Daughters of the newly elected officers.Newly installed Grand Knight Eric Doran and his family hosted the dinner celebration at St.Rita's hall afterwards.

Ways to help Good Shepherd school

Fellow Knights and family members you can help out the school just by useing your Safeway club card.The best part is it does'nt cost a dime!

If you made it to the Nov 5th council meeting you are already in on this great oportunity to help the Good shepherd school.

By clicking on the link below you will be directed to the E-Scrip webpage the school has been doing this for years now.It takes just a few moments to register your Safeway club card ,and Macy's card if you have one.

Once registered 2% of all your club card purchases will be donated to the school,it's that simple!I hope worthy brothers that you will take the time to help support our Parish school.

WWME@GoodShepherd

World Wide marriage encounter held a weekend this past July17th - 19th.The weekend is designed to help married couples communicate more intimately with one another in order to deepen and enrich their relationship.The "weekend" was held at Good Shepherd parish .You might be wondering what this is doing on the Knights of Columbus family page.by strengthing our married couples we are doing the same for their families.It's just that simple .

4 of the 10 couples who participated in the very first non-residential parish based weekend to ever be held in the state of California ,are Knights of the marian council #3773.  WWME would like to thank Fr.Piers Lahey ,and Good shepherd principal  Mrs. Volan for allowing WWME this amazing oportunity to bring this special weekend to our parish and school community.WWME Good Shepherd is in the process of creating a new Love circle which will meet at the Parish every 2nd and 4rth Friday evening,God willing.This will assist newly encountered couples and previously encountered couples in keeping thier dream alive.

The tootsie roll fundraiser for the intlectually disabled went very well .

Every year the Knights of columbus reach out to the community for help in funding programs for the disabled.Even during tough economic times the Good shepherd parish shows it's generous heart.

The Marian council thanks you.

Dear Brothers I just wanted to take a moment to recap one of the coments made by our new Grand Knight Erik Doran.

Family first! Our worthy Grand Knight stressed this point during his speech this past Saturday night at our installation dinner.

As your new Chancellor and council family director i am honored and greatly looking forward to serving the Marian council3773 of the Church of the Good Shepherd.I will be useing this newly constructed family page to share my thoughts and resources for family unity and strength.

We will also be posting all of our family activities for the marian council as soon as the information becomes available.Please share your thoughts and any comments you may have.
